Job Title: Floor Supervisor

Department: Housekeeping

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager & Assistant Manager

Supervises: Housekeepers

Summary of Position:

The Floor Supervisor oversees the guest room cleaning standards including public areas of each floor. They ensure that all housekeepers’ work aligns with the hotel room service standard and their performance leads to achieving the department’s goals and hotel’s standards.

Essence Functions:

1. Support Housekeeping Manager & Assistant Manager policies.

1. Inspect guest room checkouts as assigned for cleanliness, appropriate guest amenities, and the correct working condition of all guest room equipment.

1. Inspect public areas including fitness center, lobby, restaurant bathrooms, and floor sitting areas to ensure they are cleaned according to hotel policies and standards.

1. Maintain and define cleaning standards.

1. Evaluate housekeepers on their job performance according to the hotel standards. When necessary, take appropriate action (retraining) to ensure that their job performance is at a high-quality level.

1. Complete a work order for any damage or problems with the guest rooms or equipment.

1. Facilitate the lost and found procedures by helping staff log and check in items found I the rooms.

1. Interact with the hotel’s guests in a friendly, positive manner as a solution to their needs and a solution to any of their problems. The Floor Supervisor will often act as a liaison between the guest and the room cleaner.

1. Clean rooms or assist other housekeepers as needed.

1. Other duties as assigned

Other Functions:

1. Be able to work flexible schedule, including weekends.

1. Be dependable and detail oriented.

1. Help build a team of qualified and trained housekeepers.

1. Keep information about guests and co-workers confidential.

1. Comply with Land’s End Resort's dress code and personal hygiene standards.

1. Be friendly and courteous to guests and other employees.
