Purpose:
The Director of Marketing and Product Management is responsible for providing marketing and product management leadership.This individual will develop and execute a marketing plan designed to grow the Company's market share in multiple sales channels. He or she is responsible for the goal of increasing customer awareness of all three brands.He or she supervises the Marketing Department in executing all marketing activities.As a leader within top management, he or she must be creative and a strategic thinker.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the brand structure of the Company's flooring brands. Ensures brand uniqueness, clarity, and distinction within multi-brand strategy
- Manages digital marketing for all three brands, including web, social, email and emerging digital platforms
- Manages multiple marketing projects from concept to completion ensuring that timelines and budgets are fulfilled
- Creates sales tools, marketing pieces and samples for national sales team, retail customer and end user/consumer
- Effectively communicates marketing initiatives both internally and externally. Facilitates cross-functional communication to achieve common business goals
- Establishes customer-centric focus through marketing and institutionalizes this focus company wide.
- Product Management Aligns product, channel, and marketing strategy. Guides the creation of product requirements including specifications, features, benefits & quality
- Helps identify trends on a global scale in color, platform, technical innovation, and industry advancement
- Collaborates closely with sourcing team in Asia and senior management to efficiently align new products to market and complete marketing concepts and projects
- Manages product marketing data on all internal and third party platforms
- Leads, manages, and develops the marketing team that drive marketing execution of project and initiatives
- Manages outside vendors, PR and advertising agencies, media buying agencies, national and regional market shows
- Manages marketing budgets
- Helps identify and scale market opportunities with Senior VP of Sales to establish a marketing strategy to drive growth in specific market and category segments.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Senior VP of Sales and Marketing.
