Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKDF Technologies is a leading manufacturer of PVD (physical vapor deposition) capital equipment to the semiconductor and telecommunications market. Located in Northern NJ we serve a variety of industries and companies from startups to Fortune 500 organizations. We currently have an immediate opening for a Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair KDF PVD equipment at customer sites
  • Train customers both in the field and in the factory on proper operation and maintenance
  • Travel to customer sites for warranty and paid service visits.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Recommend, sell, parts and service
  • Prepare service reports and other supporting documentation related to customer interactions.
  • Provide technical support to customers via Internet, phone, and email
  • Performs complex electrical and mechanical alignments and calibrations on KDF equipment at KDF factory
  • Hosts customer acceptance test visits at KDF factory
  • Advise and work with KDF sales on possible new system orders
  • Interface between customer and KDF application lab to help resolve process issues
  • Work with engineering to resolve technical and assembly items.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Follow company policies and procedures
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • A.A.S. degree in Technical or Mechanical discipline
  • Proven experience in field servicing industrial machinery or equipment preferably in semiconductor
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work with minimal guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with technical customer base and factory.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites U.S. based, travel approx. 50
