Job Description
Context Labs is seeking a technically savvy Customer Project Engineer (Project Manager) to work alongside our team to deliver high-visibility, strategic customer engagements and ensure they are delivered to scope, on time, and in a manner that drives maximum customer outcomes and delight.
In this role, you will collaborate within the Professional Services Project Management team to help customers derive value out of their Context Labs’ implementation. You will manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, with multiple cross-functional teammates. You will need to balance managing complex enterprise engagements and nimble start-up implementations. For each project, you will be responsible for managing the project schedule for both software and hardware project work streams. To do this you will coordinate across customer delivery teams, internal engineering and BI teams, and external subcontracting partners to ensure the successful completion of each engagement. You will work alongside a Customer Engagement Manager to drive best-in-class project deliveries in a tactical, “boots on the ground” capacity.
You will grow to provide a compelling perspective of the Context Labs customer implementation process. The right candidate for this role is highly organized, customer oriented, and able to synthesize complex requirements into actions and outcomes. You should possess communication skills, project management expertise, and interest and passion for ESG applications of enterprise analytics and distributed ledger technology. You must be extremely organized, a quick thinker and able to coalesce feedback from multiple project stakeholders and transform it into actionable workloads. This position will report into our nascent Customer Experience team where opportunities for growth abound.
Responsibilities
- Own all the tactical aspects of customer projects including project scheduling, documentation of requirements and timeline, resolution of open issues, subcontractor coordination, communication of status and more
- Accelerate customer adoption of Context Labs’ Immutably Platform by leading the development of the implementation strategy for Context Labs’ Customers
- Work in tandem with a Customer Engagement Manager to ensure projects are managed to scope, in time, and on budget
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop staffing, project plans, and schedules, including working with external delivery partners as needed.
- Manage exceptions related to timelines, milestones, schedules and travel 20% of the time as needed
- Coordinate and work closely with the other members of the Context Labs’ Customer Experience team to deliver customer outcomes
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of Context Labs’ products and services
- Assist in the continued development of the Customer Experience team by contributing to our training content, and improving the Context Labs Services methodologies and resources
- Create documentation, templates, customer and internal resources and other assets that will support a rapidly scaling Customer Experience Center of Excellence
- Manage subcontracting partner delivery of enterprise engagements. Subcontracting partners include hardware, professional services, and field services partners.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience delivering energy projects, preferably in oil and gas. Experience should be with multi-dimensional projects involving a large breadth and depth of stakeholders
- Stellar listening, speaking, presentation, writing, organizational and analytical skills
- Strong ability to multi-task, managing multiple concurrent work threads
- Self-directed with the ability to manage simultaneous, complex engagements in a multifaceted environment
- Ability to set and manage customer expectations and to negotiate appropriate resolutions to issues
- Exceptional enterprise project management skills - PMP certification a plus but does not replace relevant work experience
- Business acumen and strong consulting skills and experience
- BA/BS degree required, ideally in a quantitatively oriented degree (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics)
- PMO / Project Management/ Program Management experience / Account Management experience (at least 2 yrs experience)
- 5 years of customer-facing experience, interfacing with multiple stakeholders, driving/managing/delivering energy projects, IT technical implementations, transformation programs, or other initiatives
- Experience supporting enterprise customers in one of the following: cloud professional services organizations, comparable IT consulting, or program management organizations.
- Passion for delivering technical solutions to solve business problems in the ESG space
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience collaborating with channel partners specifically field services partners and other third parties to deliver and manage implementation of high-impact solutions.
- Experience working with business intelligence software is preferred, 5+ years relevant work experience
- Proficiency in and passion for data analytics; knowledge of database structure, design, and modeling concepts
