Job DescriptionWorking at KIPP St. Louis High School, you love math, maybe it came easy but it may have been the topic you struggle with the most growing up. Now that you’ve mastered it and want to help your students move forward in their own math journey. You want to help them see the connections between their work on paper and the world around them. You can see yourself sitting down and helping students who having trouble finding X, or assisting with a proof. You know every child can succeed and you will give them the tools to do so.
Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, 10 months
Start Date: July 25, 2024
On a day-to-day basis, you can look forward to the following:
Curriculum Development and Instruction
Adapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
Use data to inform instructional decisions
Provide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs
Help Build a Positive School and Classroom culture
Embody and maintain school’s values, policies, and culture
Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff
Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress
Effectively supervise and manage a classroom of up to 30 students
Show up for critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and more
Demonstrate a Growth Mindset
Pursue challenging professional goals each year
Give and receive positive and constructive feedback from your colleagues
Participate in school-wide and individual professional development

Operate a computer and office equipment on a daily basis

What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree (REQUIRED)
Valid Missouri Teacher Certification, Missouri Substitute Certification or willingness to become certified ASAP (REQUIRED)
