Position: Vascular Sonographer (Ultrasound Technician)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Part Time: Monday & Wednesday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (can/will go full time for the right person)

Compensation: Competitive salary, $40 - $50 per hour (depending on experience)


Required Experience, Skills, and Licenses:


  • Experience working with Vascular Surgical Procedures
  • Registration in Echo and/or Vascular required.
  • National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and state licensure if applicable.
  • Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program.



Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Medical Sonographer, you will play a pivotal role in performing high-quality, safe ultrasounds ordered by physicians. Your expertise, professionalism, and dedication to patient care will contribute to optimal treatment and an excellent service experience for our patients.


Responsibilities:


  • Organize, perform, and record high-quality, safe ultrasounds as ordered by physicians.
  • Educate patients and their families about the ultrasound procedure and treatment, ensuring a comfortable and informed experience.
  • Produce high-quality ultrasound images and maintain accurate documentation for timely interpretation.
  • Conduct equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities, including maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ensure efficient department workflow and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Communicate results to physicians promptly and address questions and concerns.
  • Monitor and record patient comfort and safety during tests, promptly notifying physicians of abnormalities.
  • Utilize knowledge of age-specific patient needs in the performance of duties.
  • Mentor and orient new staff members to uphold our standards of excellence.
  • Assist with patient transportation and adhere to standard precautions using personal protective equipment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
