About the Role

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Sonoran Crossing Medical Center. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a radiologist, utilizing independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Assume responsibility for tasks or procedures as assigned, including data entry operations using hospital software packages.
  • Provide coverage at various locations within the network, as required.
  • Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts, by selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis and observing patient safety and comfort.
  • Acquire digital images and evaluate for technical quality, assisting physicians in diagnostic procedures and administering medications as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating daily workflow for department activities, maintaining equipment in efficient operating order, and performing quality control testing.
  • Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate, participating in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas, managing stock and inventory as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months of clinical ultrasound experience (inclusive of education)
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) eligibility, including passing the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation Exam (SPI) or ARRT Sonography certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • RDMS or RVT credentialing, including passing one of the following exams: Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric Sonography, or Vascular Technology
