Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced machine maintenance technician to join our team in the construction industry. As a machine maintenance technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our machinery and equipment. Your expertise will be instrumental in minimizing downtime, maximizing productivity, and maintaining a safe working environment for all our employees.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on production machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts as necessary
  • Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on various construction machinery and equipment
  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components and parts
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical (low and high voltage), pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to ensure the proper functioning of machines
  • Collaborate with other team members to schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruption to construction operations
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and replacements
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and equipment
  • Provide training and guidance to machine operators on basic maintenance tasks
  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in machine maintenance techniques and practices

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in controls and automation preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machine maintenance or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical strength and dexterity to handle heavy machinery and equipment (up to 50 lbs)

Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Additional days on occasion depending on project delivery demands.
