Summary / Objective

Coordinates activities involved with selling spare parts to customers by procuring parts, maintaining inventory and facilitating the sales and shipping of parts.

Essential Functions

  • Flexibility and adaptability to perform various tasks simultaneously throughout the workday while focusing on details related to customer orders that have been received.
  • Establishes rapport with customers to achieve problem resolution which results in outstanding customer service and satisfaction.
  • Respond to a high volume of customer phone calls and e-mail requests.
  • Review drawing books and machine manuals to confirm parts specifications.
  • Continuously improve knowledge and technical understanding of die cast, injection molding, and extrusion machinery.
  • Prepare requests for quote to suppliers. Must consider and account for vendor capabilities, lead time, quality, and price.
  • Provide quotes to customers in a prompt and timely manner using MRP software PLEX.
  • Process and track order status to confirm customer has received order as promised and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate inventory stock levels during daily activity, customer demand, and known lead time for each specific part.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism using appropriate communication methods.
  • Coordinate appropriate shipping methods and prepare necessary documents.
  • Utilize “Therefore” workflow software for processing customer quotes and orders.
  • Complete UBE forklift and overhead safety training to receive operator license.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and a manufacturing environment. In the office environment, this position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, and filing cabinets. The employee is regularly exposed to the manufacturing environment, which is often loud, and is subject to seasonal temperature changes. When in the manufacturing environment the employee is required to wear the appropriate PPE.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for an eight-plus hour shift. Ability to lift and carry boxes/packages that may sometimes weigh in excess of 50 pounds.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years of supply chain, procurement, inside sales, inventory control or customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.
  • Proficient with gages, tolerance specifications, and quality disposition.

Travel / Work Authorization

Occasional travel may be required, primarily local during the business day. Some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required as needed.
