Job mission:
Plow drivers are an essential part of Snowscapes. Plow drivers assist our field employees in clearing roadways and other paved surfaces. In this position, it is necessary to have strong communication skills and understand effective snow clearing. We are open to all those who have operated plow trucks in the past in any areas. Experience in large commercial to mixed used sites are a plus Knowledge in operating heavy-duty salters is also a plus.

Plow Truck Driver
Position Responsibilities:
- Operation of a plow truck
- Clear snow from roadways, parking lots, loading docks, driveways, etc.
- Utilize equipment in a safe manner
- Read and understand snow maps
- Spread salt and deicers utilizing spreaders if needed
- Assist snow removal team in loading and unloading materials and supplies
- Ability to re-fuel and perform basic maintenance to your assigned equipment
- Professionally communicate and work with on-site management and operations team
- Return equipment and safety gear to its designed area when finished
- Report any accidents, incidents, and equipment failures to supervisor immediately
- May be required to work long shifts (either days or nights) during precipitation events and snowstorms
- May be required to be available for emergency response as needed for overtime at night evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Effectively communicate with office team confirming scheduling availability
- Be available and arrive on time when scheduled

Starting Pay: $35 an hour
Qualifications:
- Snow Removal Equipment Operation Experience of 2-3 years
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A CDL License is a PLUS but not required)
- General knowledge of storms and efficient snow cleanup
- Must have own transportation to and from the job site
- Knowledge in operating heavy duty salt trucks is a plus
- Available to work a flexible schedule from November to April
- Available to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed
- Available to work long hours to complete full snow removal and cleanup
- Ability to work well independently or with a team
- Strong communication skills to confirm availability for events
- Ability to adapt in fast changing environment
- Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
Physical Demands
Employees are regularly required to stand; sit; walk on a wide range of surfaces; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
