Job Overview:

As a Reporting Engineer Consultant, you will work closely with our clients to analyze their reporting requirements, design efficient and scalable reporting solutions, and implement them using the latest reporting tools and technologies. Leveraging your expertise in data engineering, BI tools, and data visualization, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in SQL, scripting, data modeling, and report design, and have a proven track record in delivering high-quality reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with clients to understand their reporting needs and provide insightful recommendations on reporting best practices and strategies.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and translate findings into concise and actionable insights.
- Design and develop complex SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient data transformation and integration.
- Develop visually appealing and interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using industry-leading BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and software developers, to integrate reporting systems with existing applications and improve data accuracy.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in reporting and data analytics tools, recommending new technologies and techniques for better performance and user experience.
- Provide training and support to end-users on report creation, usage, and interpretation, ensuring their understanding of the reporting solutions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Reporting Engineer, Data Engineer, BI Developer, or similar role.
- Proficient in SQL programming and database concepts, with expertise in querying and managing large datasets.
- Reporting Administration including setup and roles
- In-depth understanding of data modeling principles and experience in designing data schema, data warehousing, and data integration.
- Extensive skills in developing reports and visualizations using enterprise BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS Cloud) and familiarity with cloud-based data storage and analytics services.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
