Job Title: Route Dispatcher

Department: Service Operation

Job Type: Full Time/Hourly

Job Summary:

The Route Dispatcher is wholly responsible for routing Field Technicians and ensuring routes are geographically correct, while ensuring sites are serviced within a timely manner.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Updating all Contract Maintenance changes for the upcoming month that have been requested by the Regional Service Manager (RSM) at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the new month.
  • Scheduling all services due for each given week within each district to the appropriate technician, ensuring an average of 40 hours of work a week are scheduled across the week for each technician.
  • Reporting districts that are in need of media deliveries to the Plant Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Monitoring the Dispatching Board throughout the day, moving/adding tickets and changing schedules as needed
  • Communicating regularly with Regional Service Managers (RSM) about issues that need to be resolved in their districts, or areas that are in need of either more help or more work.
  • Daily updating of serviced tickets from the ticket board and verifying their completion/researching why they are still open.
  • Daily reporting Start of Day/End of Day times to all managers
  • Preparing Service Round Up report for each weekly meeting and communicating upcoming issues/late districts/service problems for each district with the operation manager and corresponding RSM.
  • Provide excellent support for all technicians in assigned districts, including but not limited to creating hotel and per diem PO's, processing daily UPO requests, assisting with procedural questions, communicating with customers on their behalf, and putting them in touch with the appropriate members of other departments at the home office to assist with other needs they may have that are outside of Dispatching responsibilities.
  • Greeting customers/potential customers that call in to our offices in a friendly and professional manner and assisting them in reaching the department or individual that can best meet their needs.
  • Ordering new or replacement uniforms for technicians in the field as needed.
  • Closing out work orders when directed by RSM.
