As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Assistant Superintendent to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of multi-family construction projects.

 

Position Overview

The Assistant Superintendent will play a critical role in supporting the Superintendent in the management and coordination of multi-family construction projects. This position will involve hands-on involvement in overseeing all aspects of construction, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while upholding our high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination:
    • Assist the Superintendent in coordinating all construction activities, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • On-Site Management:
    • Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
    • Assist in managing day-to-day activities, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Schedule Management:
    • Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring efficient sequencing of work activities and timely completion of milestones.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Assist in ensuring that workmanship and materials meet project requirements and quality standards.
    • Conduct inspections and address any deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Safety Oversight:
    • Support the implementation of safety programs and procedures on-site.
    • Monitor compliance with safety regulations, conduct safety meetings, and promote a culture of safety among all project stakeholders.
  • Subcontractor Coordination:
    • Assist in managing subcontractors and suppliers, including scheduling, coordination, and quality control.
    • Ensure subcontractors adhere to project requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, RFIs, change orders, and other relevant records.
    • Assist in preparing regular reports for project stakeholders.
  • Client Communication:
    • Foster positive relationships with team members, clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
    • Communicate effectively to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in multi-family construction or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Outbuild) and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
