Job Summary: The Territory Sales Representative builds effective partnerships with C-stores, bakeries, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, and other individually owned businesses while continuously growing the focus of street business organically in targeted area.

Understands the various brands and package configurations offered by Reily Foods/ New England Coffee Company including coffee, tea, mayo, and associated products.

Delivers an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty and growth by providing differentiated beverage and food solutions.

Provides product information, sampling, and practical training to customer personnel.

After gaining new business, builds portfolio by developing key relationships, visiting them on a regular basis and keeping them informed of new products, marketing material and inventory status.

Drives market growth by developing strategies through innovation, collaboration, and business optimization.

Provides required sales reports, forecasts and weekly activity reports to management in a timely manner.

Keeps abreast of competitive sales activity within assigned territory. Works with Management to develop growth strategy.

Provides support with local shows, fairs, parades, and any Marketing initiatives set forth by Company.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience desired:

  • Prefer three years of overall sales experience in the food and beverage, retail, or consumer goods industry; direct store delivery (DSD) route sales desirable.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience cold calling and demonstrated territory expansion . Additionally, the candidate will need to have had prior experience managing existing customers and driving organic growth through line extensions and portfolio expansion.
  • Self driven professional seeking to develop new partnerships within Foodservice
  • Passionate, high energy self-starter with the demonstrated success consistently achieving sales volume and profitability goals, regardless of obstacles or circumstances.
  • Energetic and optimistic disposition with the ability to positively influence others.
  • Responsive and flexible with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Effective communication skills and presentation skills with ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Exposure to web-based CRM and other sales tools helpful.
  • Proficient in MS Office Programs.
  • Strong sense of urgency to meet schedules, deadlines, quotas and performance goals.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changing business demands.
  • Confident and decisive decision maker.
  • Resourceful and innovative problem solver with ability to identify alternative solutions and select the best option.
  • Some college or degree preferred.

A quarterly commission is available based on attaining a new business, revenue and AR target.

*** A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
