Job Title: Sanitation SpecialistJob Location: Fairfield, CA, U.S.A.Job Type: Contract (possible extension)Pay: Competitive PayShift Structure: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM; ONSITE, Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per weekAbout the Role: Ensures that assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes. Clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and these areas of the plant according to job standards.
  • Cleans and sanitizes food processing equipment and food processing facilities. Operates specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, etc to perform functions of job.
  • Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.
  • Follow all company Sanitation SOPs for cleaning equipment and facilities.
  • Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval.
  • Removal of trash/garbage for the facility; mopping as needed, cleaning of floor drains and any exterior areas requiring attention.
  • Complete all required sanitation and work order documentation.
  • Washes and maintains cleaning carts and tools.
  • Maintains all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, foamers, cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor.
  • Keeps the cleaning supplies stocked, on-hand and organized.
  • May be asked to work in other areas as needed; if trained.
About You: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be punctual
  • Able to operate with minimum supervision
  • Experience in an FDA Regulated environment a plus
