Summary

The Senior Accountant is expected to use professional knowledge and experience to assist with month end close duties, financial oversight of inventory reporting, ad hoc reports, reconciliations, prepaid/accrual schedules, and assistance with the day-to-day AP/AR functions as needed.  In addition, this role will assist with financial audit requests and internal control documentation.                                                                                                                                      

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Prior experience with GAAP/IFRS accounting principles related to accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll.
Working knowledge of financial statements and financial modeling and reporting techniques.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and enterprise financial systems
Superior proficiency with Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Solid understanding of the 3rd party financial audit process to assist with requests for documentation and schedules.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability.
Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.                                                                                                                   
Assist with the implement of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.                                                                                                                                 
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Daily compliance with MME policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s, or master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, or CMA certification.
3-5 years of experience in accounting with progressive levels of responsibility.  Prior public accounting experience in a supervisory capacity a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be able to possess a Nevada state agent card and be 21 years of age or older.
