Program Manager - Annapolis Junction, MD

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing all program phases from capture through contract close-out, to include warranty and after warranty support.
  • Managing Statement of Work requirements to ensure that the cost, schedule, and technical content are met. This includes maintaining overall program balance, integrated program management, performance, reporting and control in the execution of a successful program.
  • Ensuring that all contract deliverable items are fully compliant with the contract requirements, delivered on time, and accepted by the customer.
  • Ensuring that all subcontractor and supplier requirements are met and performance is maintained to be consistent with program requirements.
  • Initiating and participating in proposal development and in the negotiation of contract, contract changes, and teaming agreements with suppliers.
  • Managing projects using PMP methodology and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related technical field.
  • At least one year of program management experience in the defense industry.
  • Ability to function independently to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with scheduling planning, performance, work measurement, and variance analysis for control accounts.
  • Experience using PMP tools for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing projects (including items such as WBS, EAC, ETC, Risk Management).
  • Experience with effective stakeholder management and communicating across cultures globally.
  • Working knowledge of ITAR/EAR.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project).
  • Knowledge working with an ERP system (Deltek Costpoint or similar)
  • Strong planning, leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have or be able to obtain PMP certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Experience working in an AS9100 certified organization is a plus.
  • Travel: 10-20%; domestic and international
