WORKERS' COMPENSATION COMPLIANCE LEAD

The Workers' Compensation Compliance Lead is both an individual contributor and team lead who is responsible for enterprise-wide workers' compensation process development and compliance. This role develops training programs and supports continued education with workers' compensation quoting, binding, and policy items for both Headland and outside carriers; develops processes and audits to ensure workers' compensation compliance across all 50 states; and supports workers' compensation underwriting for new prospects and existing client reviews.

  • Leads training and development for Workers' Compensation underwriting, pricing, and policy support across all ProServices entities.
  • Leads the workers' compensation compliance program across ProService and its owned entities.
  • Leads the process for annual renewals and updates to ProService pricing for outside carriers.
  • Supevisory responsibility for Hawaii-focused underwriting
  • Support preparation of the annual excess insurance renewal; participate in renewal meetings and partner management.
  • Support carrier placements and associated quoting. Prepare and submit Accords and binding documents as necessary. Adjust and advise on codes and rates.
  • Assist with state fund and residual market placements; work directly with state insurance departments as necessary.
  • Support annual audit processes with outside carriers; and, assist Workers' Compensation Compliance Manager with repeatable audit functions for the captive program.
  • Support other pricing and compliance functions, as required.

The base compensation for this position is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications.


WHAT WE'D LIKE FOR YOU TO HAVE

  • Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a business or a mathematics-related field, and 5+ years of workers' compensation underwriting experience preferred.
    • Subject matter expertise in workers' compensation compliance with experience in a multi-state environment.
    • Experience writing business with premiums in excess of $100k per annum.
    • Able to evaluate insurance risk for various industries and company types and sizes. Willing and able to consider both qualitative and quantitative information in the underwriting process.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, including working knowledge of common Excel formulas and features (lookup functions, Pivot Tables)
  • Attention to Detail - Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task with concern for all aspects involved.
  • Team Player - Willingness and effectively collaborates closely with our sales, sales operations, marketing, and client success teams to achieve individual and collective goals. Strong relationship building skills.
