JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for receiving material deliveries, using KanBan tags to stock production floor inventory, perform cycle counts and operate a plywood inventory storage system.


EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS:

  • Computer / Software Programs
  • Fork Lift
  • Receiving Paperwork / Production Paperwork
  • Utility Cart
  • Various Hand Tools


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receive incoming product as needed, working with Purchasing to resolve any discrepancies
  • Tag all material with correct information and stock in designated locations
  • Stock and rotate inventory on a daily basis, evaluating correction needs to inventory levels
  • Maintain inventory level accuracies through system adjustments
  • Pull and fill KanBan tags in locations throughout Production Floor, ensuring inventory amounts are fulfilled on a daily basis
  • Complete Cycle Counts using proper documentation and procedures
  • As a back-up, load and cross-train on a plywood inventory storage system, troubleshooting if necessary and provide support to system's primary operator as needed
  • Use of Fork Lift and Computer / Software programs as needed


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All other duties as assigned.

Reports to Inventory Receiving Manager

Non-exempt Hourly


Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:


  • Observes and follows all Woodharbor Safety Policies and Procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA as outlined in the Safety Handbook

  • Observes the Workers’ Compensation regulations with regards to proper reporting and communication
