MRI TECHNOLOGIST - WAYCROSS - PRN

The MRI Technologist will perform high quality MRI exams as directed by the providers and in compliance with company policies and established MRI procedures. The MRI technologist is responsible for correctly positioning patients, acquiring correct anatomical images, applying correct techniques, patient care and teamwork. Maintains equipment and supplies needed to perform studies. Clear and concise communication skills are a must. Position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients.

                                                        
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist license required
  • AART (MR) Technologist Certification required
  • Current BLS Certification
  • One year MRI experience preferred
  • Orthopaedic experience preferred
  • Able to start IV’s and introduce contrast media for contrast studies
  • Comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Neat, professional appearance

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

 

  • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPPA and compliance guidelines established by the practice
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of electronic health record and other computer software as it relates to job functions
  • Accurately document each patient visit
  • Competently manage patient care
  • Perform high quality MRI exams in compliance with company policies and established MRI procedures
