What Can You Expect

This position is responsible for the operation of hydraulic and/or cable equipment to lift and move materials, machines, and/or products in many directions while ensuring that all of his/her efforts are compliant with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The Crane Operator must possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects.
  • Determine load weights, and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload.
  • Provides Trains, advises and leads other operators and oilers on the same jobsite or within their geographical proximity.
  • Inspect crane mechanisms or lifting accessories and report any equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the proper supervisor.

What You Should Know

  • Capable of operating multiple types of hoisting equipment (i.e. Tower Cranes, Crawler Cranes, Rough Terrain Cranes, All Terrain Cranes, Rotating Telehandlers, etc.).
  • Display mechanical aptitude, good hand-eye coordination and the ability to operate the valves, levers, hand wheels and other controls on the machines.
  • May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
