OVERVIEW/PURPOSE:
ATS Trans LLC (ATS) is the foremost transportation service in the Puget Sound, WA area, serving those with special needs, as well as customers seeking point-to-point driver services.
The Maintenance Mechanic’s primary purpose is to perform preventive maintenance on all types of vehicles with little to no supervision.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.
- Perform repairs to vehicles as needed.
- Respond to service calls when needed.
- Perform general custodial duties.
- Ensures that all shop safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of each repair or maintenance performed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have at least 2 years of auto maintenance experience, preferably in fleet maintenance.
- Must have a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
- Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License
- Must own tools.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and listening.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
- Ability to diagnose vehicle symptoms and determine the correct action to take.
