Summary:
Safely operate forklift to load and offload flatbed trucks, move material, and operate machinery to cut aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys to meet customer specifications.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklift to load and off load flatbed trucks.
- Verify counts, weights, and measurements of material.
- Prepare and affix shipping labels accurately identifying shipping information.
- Assemble wood or cardboard containers for shipping material.
- Secure containers using nail guns and metal strapping.
- Deliver completed orders to customers using company vehicles.
- Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances.
- Work directly with Production Manager to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven work history of reporting to work every day and on time.
- Minimum 2 years forklift operator experience.
- Ability to use measuring tools and perform math calculations, including fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Familiar with basic computer systems.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
