Automotive detailer

Job Summary:
As an Automotive Detailer at James Chevrolet in Johnstown, New York, you will play a critical role in ensuring our vehicles are showroom ready and meet the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. This is a Full Time - hourly Technician / Skilled Labor / Contractor position and you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of our vehicles through thorough cleaning and detailing.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $16 to $19 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and employee discounts.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and detail vehicles according to company standards and procedures
- Vacuum, wash, wax, and polish vehicle exteriors and interiors
- Clean and dress tires and wheels
- Apply protectant to vinyl and leather surfaces
- Clean and detail engine compartments
- Remove grease and dirt from vehicle components using cleaning products and tools
- Operate buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet clean-up standards
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any issues to management
- Move and park vehicles as directed by management
- Maintain and organize detailing supplies and equipment
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing preferred
- Knowledge of various cleaning products, tools, and techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
