Cornell College invites applications for a full-time Visit Experience Assistant. The assistant is responsible for working with the Assistant Director of Campus Visit Programs, with a primary focus on planning (logistically and in Slate software), scheduling, tracking, and facilitating individual on-campus and virtual visits, as well as documenting processes. This includes pre-visit planning and communications with prospective students, faculty, staff, and work-study students, meeting and greeting families when they arrive and reviewing their visit schedules, tracking and troubleshooting last-minute requests or changes, communicating with faculty, staff, and tour guides on the day of the visit, as needed, and participating in weekly visit committee meetings. The position oversees admission materials and the info desk merchandise inventory.

The assistant supervises three full-time summer interns and co-supervises the visit team work-study students with the Assistant Director of Campus Visit Programs

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Two year degree preferred. One to three years of related experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

Excellent computer skills including word processing, Microsoft Office, Access, Power Point, and Excel. Ability to effectively communicate and interact professionally in a variety of situations (in person and on the telephone). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent customer service skills.

This position works in person. Work is performed primarily while seated in an office environment. The hiring pay range for this position is $16 - $18 per hour. Cornell College offers a fantastic benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, HSA & FSA accounts, a TIAA 403(b) retirement account, and tuition remission and exchange for employees and dependents. We also offer life insurance, disability insurance, travel insurance, and accident insurance. And, all full-time staff begin with a 4-week vacation accrual along with 14.5 paid holidays per year.
