Job Title: Park Maintenance Crew Member
Job Overview: We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our Park Maintenance Crew and contribute to the beautification and cleanliness of our city parks. As a Park Maintenance Crew Member, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our community. The primary responsibilities include power washing concrete surfaces and playground equipment, as well as ensuring the proper disposal of trash.
Responsibilities:
- Power wash concrete pathways, sidewalks, and other designated areas within city parks.
- Clean and sanitize playground equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic play environment for children.
- Empty and replace trash liners in designated trash cans throughout the park.
- Collect and properly dispose of litter, debris, and fallen leaves to maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
- Report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Follow established safety protocols and use protective equipment when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, cleaning, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate power washing equipment and other maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and prolonged periods of standing.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Schedule: This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, to ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks and the overall upkeep of city parks.
