Campbell, United States Bay Area Mental Health Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

If you're a licensed psychotherapist that's full of passion and wants to do meaningful things, let's talk

Bay Area Mental Health is seeking a new therapist to add to the team. We are seeking a licensed therapist with DBT training and experience. This position can be either fully in person (Campbell, CA) or hybrid with some remote work. We value flexibility in order for the job to work with your lifestyle. The ideal applicant will have 1-3 years of clinical experience and a current CA license (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, PhD, PsyD).

Bay Area Mental Health is a boutique group practice in Campbell, CA 95008. We are an established practice that focuses on treating trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, and substance abuse. We offer a full DBT Program, individual, couples, family, and group therapy as well as Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. We are a dedicated team of professionals who work collaboratively and are results-oriented. We are collaborative, professional, supportive and our goal is to help people who haven't found the right help elsewhere.

  • We are not in the business of burnout.
  • We are in the business of building fulfilling lives for clients AND our staff.
  • We value and invest in providing outstanding client care and customer service, working in collaboration with each other, and supporting the personal and professional development of our team members.

This job has a high degree of flexibility and will start part-time with the option to move to full-time if desired. You must be available to work some evening and weekend hours and you must not already have a private practice. Candidate must be independent, driven, collaborative, and enhance our fun, connected, and positive minded group of clinicians. Candidate will be W2 employee status.

Our decisions are guided by our core values:

  • Integrity
  • Authenticity
  • Inclusivity
  • Diversity
  • Community
  • Compassion

There is no single path to healing; it takes different approaches and different people.

We draw on the differences in who we are, where we come from, what we’ve experienced and how we think. We value and trust each other and that makes us stronger together.

As a practice, we work in a Collaborative Care model with complex cases, including trauma and complex PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar and Substance Use. We believe in Transforming Pain Into Purpose. We LOVE what we do as we get the honor of working with people who are ready to "dig in to transformation” and not just white knuckle it through the hard times. Clients are the people that suffer in silence and dedicate themselves to continuous growth to make the most out of life.

We help people move through their pain and deepen their understanding of self, heal old wounds, and live a life that feels full and meaning-filled. We shake up the narrative of therapy and flip antiquated notions on its head as we push new limits and inspire our communities to deepen, heal, and progress in their beautiful lives.

We believe that our best work is done when we are empowered and free to pursue our passions. Our therapists gain immense support in helping them attain the right client fit to bring best therapeutic results. It's what transforms client's lives and keeps our therapists well fed on meaning and effectiveness. We encourage creativity and foster the space for our clinicians to be their authentic selves in the work place. Our team is awesome. We work like a boss, love our clients, and are supremely laid back and caring with one another on an interpersonal level.

This is a great position for people who have big ambition to make an impact, but would rather build a practice as a part of team than do it on their own (I mean really, where's the fun in that). Our practice is committed to increasing access to mental health care so our candidate will also be facilitating therapy groups.

BAMH hires gifted, dedicated, growth minded and team oriented clinicians. As we continue growing our dream team, our aim is to have a staff that represents our community. BIPOC and folks that come from various backgrounds in all respects (sexual orientation, SES, geographic region, spirituality, age, etc.) are encouraged to apply.

BIPOC are encouraged to apply.

Benefits of Employment:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Steady stream of referrals to your ideal clients
  • Competitive compensation (full time can make $100K+)
  • Bimonthly group case consultation
  • Training opportunities
  • Training Stipend
  • Paid sick time
  • Retirement account with company match
  • Health insurance reimbursement plan (QSEHRA)
  • Supportive team environment
  • Beautiful office space
  • Longevity bonuses

We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.

Compensation:

$70 - $85 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Provide supportive, individualized and confidential therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
  • Facilitate group therapy (lots of options)
  • Intake, assessment, treatment planning, termination/discharge responsibilities
  • Maintain timely and accurate records/scheduling using practice software
  • Engage in collaborative coordination of care with clients and support staff as needed, including collateral communication with psychiatrists, etc.
  • Attend clinical staff meetings and work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team making decisions and recommendations regarding client care
  • Maintain all legal and ethical requirements of the profession
  • Be flexible and receptive to change as we are an expanding and growing clinic

Qualifications:
  • Licensed psychotherapist in CA (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD, PsyD)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting
  • Training and experience in DBT
  • Willing to work a minimum of 10 hours per week including some evening and weekend hours
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
