We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting/HR Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting and human resources tasks, including payroll processing, benefit administration, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance. Candidate must possess a desire to improve processes and drive innovation with technology. This position requires proficiency in financial record keeping, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly/bi-monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage new hire, termination, and change of status forms in coordination with payroll.
  • Conduct benefit meetings and assist with benefit enrollment processing.
  • Compile and report information to the corporate HR manager.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain the general ledger.
  • Assist with accounts payable transactions and vendor management.
  • Perform end-of-month financial processing and review.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to make calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Knowledge of methods and practices of accurate record keeping.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school or GED equivalent.
  • Some college coursework or an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Combination of training and experience equivalent to two years of progressively responsible clerical, administrative, secretarial, and/or technical experience, which has provided the applicant with the required knowledge and abilities to successfully perform job duties.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
