What Will You Do?


We are seeking a highly dynamic leader for our high-fidelity wraparound services program This program is an evidence-based model that helps empower youth and families to find their voice and develop the skills necessary to successfully navigate various systems such as juvenile justice, child welfare and the school system. Wraparound approaches their work from the philosophy of “Do for, do with, cheer on” The Program Director will be responsible for supervising 3 or more teams of WRAP supervisors based in Charlotte and Asheville. The director will be accountable for the adherence to the budgetary process related to service of youth and families as well as complying with the evidence based practices related to this program. The success of programs in the Director’s chain of command will be primarily measured through three core data points: financial performance data, staff retention/engagement data, and program outcomes/quality data. The Program Director is expected to model the principles of a Leader of Leaders.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working through leaders to ensure programs under their chain are achieving targeted outcomes/people/financial success.
  • Overseeing the long-term planning and strategy for their books of business in conjunction with the Program Supervisors.
  • Communication and climate setting through leaders
  • Ensuring leaders (and programs) have the resources they need to ensure their program(s) success
  • Effectively selecting, coaching, assessing, and developing their leaders
  • Weighing in on organizational design and structure
  • Relationship building up, down, and sideways (internally and externally) for the organization’s benefit
  • Developing and cultivating new business opportunities for the short- and long-term benefit of the organization.
  • Ensure the direct report's work objectives tie in with the overall business strategy
  • Continual Coaching and development of leaders
  • Ensure performance assessments are utilized constructively to improve performance
  • Effectively balance tasks and resources among teams
  • Regularly initiate progress conversations and address relevant issues

  • Leaders of leaders should primarily value: building relationships, differentiation, value-based leadership, getting things done that have to get done and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Leaders of leaders should spend the majority of their time on the following: long-term organizational/program planning, resource allocation, communication up, down, sideways and providing input upwards for strategic target setting.
  • Leaders of leaders skills that they must display to be successful at this level include: managing boundaries and allocating resources, organizational design, selecting leaders, coaching leaders, assessing performance of leader, culture and climate setting


Requirements:

What qualifications do you need?

Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) they lead.


As a Leader of Leaders, this role’s minimum qualifications are:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Verified 3 years of successful previous leadership experience
  • Verified 5 years of experience working in the field related to the programs under their chain of command
  • Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader
