Job Description: Investment Operations Coordinator
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Investment Operations Coordinator to join our team full-time. The Investment Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the efficient management and execution of investment operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely processing of investment transactions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Trade Execution and Settlement:
- Coordinate and facilitate the execution of investment trades across various asset classes.
- Monitor trade confirmations and ensure timely settlement of transactions.
- Address any discrepancies or issues related to trade processing.
Portfolio Reconciliation:
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of investment portfolios.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of portfolio data, including positions and transactions.
- Resolve discrepancies and work with custodians or brokers as needed.
Performance Reporting:
- Generate and distribute performance reports for investment portfolios.
- Calculate and analyze portfolio performance metrics, including returns and benchmarks.
- Prepare ad-hoc performance analysis for management and clients.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor investment guidelines and restrictions.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and audits.
Data Management and Systems Oversight:
- Maintain and update investment data in portfolio management systems.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to enhance system functionality and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide user support and training as needed.
Relationship Management:
- Liaise with custodians, brokers, and investment managers.
- Resolve operational inquiries and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in investment operations, asset management, or related role.
- Knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and trade lifecycle.
- Familiarity with investment management systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
