The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting their assigned Project Executive in planning, scheduling, document control, correspondence, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned concrete construction projects. The candidate will be required to assist their assigned Project Manager in coordinating all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications that include, but not limited to:


  • Meet with the operations team for a preliminary sequencing, form work, hoisting, and logistics plan.
  • On‐Site Project Management to ensure field staff has all information necessary to successfully complete the scope of work
  • Project Coordination & Project Controls such as submittal/shop drawing review and coordination, RFI’s, and current Contract Documents
  • Maintain Weather & Production Logs, Concrete Logs, Rebar Delivery Logs and others as may be required
  • Daily update of work completed with quantity installed, percent complete and visually represented on drawings using Bluebeam
  • Production Tracking
  • Material expediting
  • Invoice approval
  • Ensure costs are coded correctly matching budgeted cost codes
  • Weekly project schedule updates
  • Weekly Jobsite Meetings
  • Meeting Minutes and Documentation
  • Track Daily Work Reports
  • Application for Payment Verification
  • Contract Administration
  • Perform quantity take‐offs as needed
  • Punch‐List Management
  • Project Close‐Out

The candidate will work with their assigned project manager to help achieve their respective project management objectives. This position reports directly to the assigned Project Executive with dotted line responsibility to the Director of Project Management.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • A degree in construction management or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer on large concrete projects
  • Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications with an emphasis on the concrete scope of work
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast pace environment
  • Superior communication and organization development skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross‐functional teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Plan Grid, Procore, and Microsoft Project

 

In addition to the above listed minimum requirements, candidates who poses the following skills,
experience, and capabilities may receive greater consideration during the evaluation process:

  • OSHA Certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • AutoCAD, Tekla

This is a full-time position
