Irrigation Specialist
This position will hold you responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of our residential and commercial client properties. Applicants must be driven and have the ability to work well alone, as most of their daily work will be done alone. There will be a need for this position to fill in on the landscaping crew at times, prior landscaping experience preferred, but not required.
One year of irrigation experience required for this position. Applicants are expected to possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Compensation:$25 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot any problems that may arise with system
- Order and install parts
- Prepare ground for installation of irrigation lines
- Understand plants being watered to best determine water rates
- Design and read blueprints in order to lay out or locate irrigation valves and wiring
- Install pipes, wiring and valves
- Understand and implement computerized irrigation systems including remote monitoring/control systems
- Provide system recommendations to fit the needs of the customer: golf course, farmer’s field, landscaping, etc.
- In good physical condition with excellent health
- Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail
- Experience with a variety of hand tools and maintenance equipment including clippers, chain saws, lawnmowers, blowers, edgers, rakes, and hedge trimmers
- Must have a U.S. driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the work site
- 1 year experience in Irrigation
- Enough knowledge in field to work well alone, without constant supervision or direction
