3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:30am)

 

The QC Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspection of clearance control coated parts per blueprint, manufacturing plan, customer's specifications, and requirements using various types of inspection equipment.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Document inspection results in accordance with company procedures, manufacturing plan, and any additional work instructions.
  • Review certification and test reports against specification requirements.
  • Review heat treat certifications against specification requirements.
  • Review of finishing process (plating/coatings), destructive & NDT (non-destructive test) test results against inspections per specification requirements and AS9102.
  • Perform First Articles and customer's requirements.
  • Perform all the required inspections on product to assure compliance to company's Quality System, Specifications and Customer requirements for Aerospace products.
  • Inspect parts in accordance with drawings, customer requirements, and manufacturing procedure work instructions.
  • Operate appropriate inspection equipment or methods to verify conformance to requirements.
  • Document inspection results as required on final inspection report, and/or First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
  • Visual and dimensional inspection of product to applicable blueprints, manufacturing plans, and sales order requirements.
  • Document non-conformances detected during inspection.
  • Review data package traceability (material certifications, inspection reports, test reports, process certifications, etc.) as required by the Quality System and sales order for legibility, completeness and to verify conformance to blueprint and customer requirements.
  • Verify all operations required by the manufacturing plan are complete and properly signed off.
  • Completion of any special customer required forms or data package requirements.
  • Contribute to the continued adherence to AS9100, ISO 9000 and other customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare shipping documents, package parts, and maintain inventory.
  • Follow all company safety policies and practices.


Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control or equivalent.
  • Must be able to use inspection tools and interpret blueprints, specifications, and certifications to verify product conformity.
  • Detail oriented and methodical.
  • Capable of organizing, prioritizing, and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to operate a microscope and standard measuring equipment such as a scale, micrometer, caliper, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawing requirements and perform work to inspection instructions.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in Aerospace, Military/Defense, or Automotive manufacturing inspection.
  • Familiar with ISO9001, AS9100, and NADCAP requirements.
  • Previous training experience.

 

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a consistent basis.
  • Stand for 4+ hours a day.
  • Willingness to work around chemicals and use appropriate PPE.
