The primary function of the Managed Services Engineering Specialist is to accelerate Commercial Support product development and growth. Acts as the liaison between technical sales and implementation teams. Provides training and ongoing support to end users for basic solutions to ensure customers maximize benefits of Vyve Broadband services.
Managed Services Engineering Specialist team members are a technical point of contact for both business clients and Vyve Broadband internal team members. This position incorporates basic design, education, service, and support to both business client and cross functional Vyve Broadband groups. This position reports directly to the Managed Services Supervisor.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Basic onboarding/provisioning of Cloud Managed Solutions
- Initial ticket & support response
- Basic network design
- Basic cloud equipment staging/configuration
- Basic cloud solution onboarding
- Data networking – LAN technologies
- M365 suite management
- PC hardware/software support
- Windows OS support
- Basic IT tech support
- OSI reference model awareness
- Basic cloud services support
- Basic web & application knowledge
- Introductory customer LAN troubleshooting
- Notating and completing of onboarding/support tickets
- Maintain customer knowledgebase data
- Procurement assistance
- Other duties as assigned
- Regularly sits and stands during working hours for prolonged periods.
- Regularly work in an office setting with and around co-workers and computer equipment.
Education: High School degree or equivalent required. College degree strongly preferred.
Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MS-900, and Cisco Meraki ECMS 1/2 preferred
Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in data networking, along with baseline experience with various hosted applications including but not limited to: Meraki, Ruckus, datto, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft 365
Required Skills: Ability to fulfill the job duties, skills and responsibilities listed above.
