BridgePhase is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate will be experienced in full lifecycle requirements analysis and management and an effective communicator with the ability to interface with business and technical stakeholders.  This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze complex business data to provide insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making and improve organizational performance. In this position, you can expect to:
  • Provide expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, design, coordination, testing, and support of customer business reporting and analytical needs 
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business data 
  • Collaborate with business process owners, technical staff, and project leadership to leverage the use of data and data strategies across a full spectrum of business and operational needs 
  • Support design, development, testing, debugging and documentation of information systems and programs 
  • Understand business needs and translate them into analytical requirements 
  • Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear, actionable manner 
  • Help ensure data quality and integrity across systems 
  • Lead execution of feasibility studies to assess cost/benefit, efficiency and technical viability of solutions to business problems 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of technical solutions aligned with DHS guidelines 
As with any technical environment, the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile candidates who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise in requirements management and analysis, preferably in government or consultancy settings 
  • 4+ years of experience working in business analyst capacity, ideally within a data intensive environment 
  • Working knowledge of relational database environments, structured analysis, data modeling, information engineering and sampling to support system planning 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Knowledge of government agency SELC frameworks and approaches (DHS experience a plus) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
