Our company is growing and we are hiring a Benefits Specialist who plays a crucial role in managing employee benefits programs within an organization. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration: Administer various employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, and other perks.
  • Enrollment and Onboarding: Facilitate the enrollment process for new hires, including explaining benefit options, assisting with paperwork, and ensuring timely enrollment.
  • Communication: Communicate benefits information to employees through various channels such as presentations, emails, and one-on-one consultations. Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding benefits.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits programs. Ensure that benefits programs comply with legal requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with benefit plan providers, insurance carriers, and other vendors to manage benefits programs effectively. Negotiate contracts and agreements as necessary.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations. Prepare reports and analyze data related to benefits usage and costs.
  • Employee Education: Conduct educational sessions and workshops to help employees understand their benefits options and make informed decisions.
  • Problem Resolution: Assist employees in resolving issues related to their benefits coverage, claims, or eligibility.


To be a qualified candidate you must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Some employers may require or prefer a master's degree or relevant certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
  • Previous experience in benefits administration or a related role is typically required. Experience with benefits software and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) may be preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations such as ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.


Key to being successful in this role:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively explaining benefits options to employees and communicating with vendors.
  • Ability to analyze benefits data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improving benefits programs or controlling costs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for building relationships with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders. Empathy and patience are particularly important when addressing employee concerns.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical for managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and paperwork associated with benefits administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive employee information and making decisions related to benefits programs.
