POSITION SUMMARY

The Family Pastor leads the vision and strategy of Soul City Kids, Soul City Students, and Soul City Families Camps. This role will provide a comprehensive strategy for birth through high school at Soul City, while also empowering a team of leaders to serve the children and families of Soul City Church and our community. 


This Pastor will be responsible to set the direction, goals, and initiatives of our mission to partner with parents to raise a generation of Jesus followers from birth through high school. The Family Pastor will direct the Sunday experiences for both Soul City Kids and Soul City Students by ensuring creative, engaging, safe, and age-appropriate teaching for all children and students. This role will also provide creative discipleship take-home elements weekly for families and ministry opportunities outside of Sundays happen regularly.


The three major components of this position are:

1. Lead the Family Ministries with vision and strategic insight.

2. Overseeing a team to execute Sunday programming, including volunteer engagement.

3. Partner with parents to lead their kids spiritually beyond Sundays.
This Pastor is a true leader of leaders who wants to build a vibrant Family Ministry culture at Soul City Church. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 


20% - Lead, cast vision, and direct the Family ministries, including budgeting, operations, Family Connections, and strategic planning. Champion the value of kids, students, and families at Soul City Church.


20% - Lead, develop & shepherd 2 Family ministry staff. 


20% - Weekend Families programming leadership: champion the values of Soul City within SCC Families. Ensure safety, creativity, and correct room ratios while delivering a fantastic weekend experience. 


20% - Partner with families outside of Sundays by leading special events (Easter Outreach, Jingle Jam, Family Dedication, Soul City Kids Camp, Student Camps)


10% - Lead curriculum implementation and create monthly take home discipleship resources for parents. 


10% - Ensure that all Families volunteer teams (Kids, Students, Events, and Camps) are cared for, trained, and staffed appropriately to execute excellent Family ministries offerings.
