They are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. Palms West Hospital has adult and pediatric emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center featuring Birthing Suites and a Level II NICU, and a full-service Children's Hospital, providing pediatric healthcare services in one child-friendly location. Additional services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology. The Hospital is located on a spacious 94-acre campus in Palm Beach County, just 12 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The surrounding areas include Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee. Wellington is known for its abundant parks and quality schools. Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee are known for their large acreage parcels, new homes, and equestrian community.

Job Description:

  • To have sound knowledge and proficiency in the treatment of respiratory disorders for inpatients and outpatients with various types of media, i.e., oxygen and other therapeutic gases and respiratory equipment.
  • Establishes a good rapport with fellow associates while maintaining a professional relationship.
  • Treats all patients and their families with compassion and respect.
  • Reports to the Respiratory Care Supervisor and Cardiopulmonary Director.
  • Some notable information about the Unit: Specialties: Level 2 NICU, Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric ER. Upcoming: Increase ER beds by 12, NICU and PICU transport teams, Level 3 NICU. Just west of hospital, 5K+ homes to be built in near future Active Florida RRT

REQUIREMENTS:

  • License required. 3 Years of Acute Care RRT NICU experience REQUIRED.
  • **MUST HAVE LEVEL 3 NICU experience
  • Must have experience – Requiring RRT, but may be open to CRT for the right experienced candidate.
  • BLS required. ACLS, PALS and/or NRP must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

SCHEDULE:

Shifts Available: Day Shift & Night Shift 0.9 FTE

COMPENSATION:

  • $25.52 / hour
