The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia is searching for a Level 2 Substance Abuse Counselor (CADCII) The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for cross-collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the goals of the program and agency are met. The Substance Abuse Counselor will report to the Eastman, Georgia Annex.
Responsibilities of the Substance Abuse Counselor:
- Provides direct & collateral substance abuse services in a group setting, per program standards, utilizing evidenced-based interventions.
- Complete services consistent with the requirements outlined by CSBMG, DBHDD, HFR, and other applicable entities.
- Provides support to substance abuse clients and assist with recovery resources.
- Facilitates substance abuse groups
- Provides individualized counseling sessions, as needed.
- Completes all required documentation in a timely manner according to departmental and agency standards.
- Provides direct & collateral substance abuse services to drug court and its participants.
- Collaborates with the local and state court systems and probation officers, when necessary.
- Maintains credentials & attends all supervision requirements to maintain certification.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- Level II Clinical Certification(s)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management & organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior supervisory experience
- CADC II Certification
- Level II Clinical Certification(s) - GACA/ADACBGA Certifications
** Final pay rate will be dependent on a combination of qualifications such as experience and education. **
40 Hour Work Week
Monday - Friday with occasional weekends as needed.
Hours may vary depending on the served individuals' needs.
