Job Purpose:

The Packsize Box Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the Packsize Box-Making Machine to produce assigned jobs according to job ticket specifications while meeting production requirements. This role ensures the quality and accuracy of products and maintains records of production.


Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operate the Packsize Box Making Machine.
  • Pull and load materials into the box making machine to produce jobs according to job ticket specifications.
  • Inspect the first box to ensure it meets requirements and matches specifications.
  • Continuously monitor job runs to verify quality and detect any machine issues or changes in product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of products produced.
  • Manually document all necessary information as per procedures.
  • Relocate finished materials to the designated area upon completion.
  • Clean equipment and work area as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Adhere to all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of Packsize machine experience required; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure, working with fractions and decimals, and performing basic arithmetic operations.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Exceptional focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to stand for an entire 8+ hour shift.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer demands.
  • Strong ability to organize tasks and materials.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • General awareness and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude towards both external and internal customers.
