What are the hours and pay?

• 1st shift hours 4:00am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday with OT on Fridays
• Pay $28.00-$30.00/HR based on experience

What is the job?

• Determine procedures and types of equipment depending on metal type, casting shape, and size.
•  Perform any necessary chipping or cleaning to prepare the area for repair.
• Preheat castings in gas oven.
• Select the proper weld rod and perform the welding necessary for salvaging.
• Anneal castings after welding principles and techniques, as necessary.
• Weld defects in castings to ensure product meets quality requirements and customer specifications.
• Operate a tungsten inert gas (TIG) welder.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for specialized jobs.
• Maintain work area in a clean and workmanlike condition acceptable to safety standards.
•  Consult the Production Supervisor, Quality Inspector, and Cleaning Room Supervisor daily on welding severity and frequency on parts welded that day.
• Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:  High school or equivalent is strongly preferred. Welding certification.
• Experience: Three (3) years welding process experience. Must have ASTM certification in welding
