Fitter Welder – Steel Conveyor Systems

We are seeking a skilled Fitter Welder with experience in fabricating and assembling steel conveyor systems according to detailed conveyor drawings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in welding various steel components, ensuring precise alignment and high-quality finishes. You’ll be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, measuring and cutting materials accurately, and ensuring the structural integrity of conveyor systems during the welding process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and follow conveyor drawings to assemble and weld steel structures.
  • Use a variety of welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, on conveyor components.
  • Perform fitting and assembly work, ensuring all parts align correctly according to the design specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on welded joints and assemblies.
  • Operate relevant tools and equipment such as grinders, cutting torches, and measuring devices.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Fitter Welder specializing in steel.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding and familiarity with various welding equipment.
  • Excellent precision and attention to detail in fitting and assembling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot alignment and fitting issues.
  • Certification in welding (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems and their structural requirements is an advantage.
