Position Type: Freelance/Contract

Hourly Rate: $22 to $27 per hour

Location: 100% Remote

Company Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a freelance WordPress Developer with a proven track record of working with small businesses, who can seamlessly integrate into our ongoing website project.

Key Responsibilities:

• WordPress Development: Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites with a strong focus on coding. Utilize your deep understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create functional, responsive, and visually appealing websites. Experience with Elementor is mandatory, as it will be your primary tool for building and customizing themes.

• Plugin Management: Unpackage, configure, and optimize plugins, with a particular emphasis on live chat, job boards, and timesheets. Ensure that all plugins are compatible, secure, and enhance the overall functionality of the website.

• SEO Expertise: Implement advanced SEO strategies, including navigation design and page structure optimization, to ensure that websites are fully optimized for search engines. Your work should contribute to higher rankings on Google and improved visibility.

• Attention to Detail: Exhibit meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of your work, from coding to content integration. Ensure that every element of the website is pixel-perfect and functions as intended.

• Communication and Collaboration: Engage in regular meetings with clients and team members to discuss project progress, requirements, and feedback. Your elite communication skills will be essential in articulating complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.

• Project Management: Manage your workload efficiently, ensuring that you have the immediate bandwidth to commit to our projects without any conflicts until the end of the year. Deliver high-quality work within agreed-upon deadlines.

• Experience with Small Businesses: Leverage your extensive experience working with small businesses to understand their unique needs and challenges. Provide tailored solutions that align with their business goals and budget constraints.

• Digital Content Creation: While your primary role will focus on development, experience in creating digital content for X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn is a plus. This will help in enhancing the overall digital presence of our clients.

• Staffing Agency Experience: Prior experience working with a staffing agency is a significant advantage. Understanding the specific requirements of staffing businesses will allow you to develop more targeted and effective solutions.

• Business Development/Lead Generation: Experience in a business development or lead generation environment is highly desirable. Your ability to create websites that not only look great but also drive conversions and generate leads will be a key factor in your success in this role.

Qualifications:

• 7+ Years of WordPress Development Experience: Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work with small businesses.

• Proficiency in Elementor: Extensive experience using Elementor to build and customize WordPress themes is mandatory.

• Deep Coding Knowledge: Expertise in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.

• SEO Expertise: Demonstrated ability to implement effective SEO strategies that improve website visibility and search engine rankings.

• Plugin Configuration Experience: Strong experience in unpackaging, configuring, and optimizing plugins, especially for live chat, job boards, and timesheets.

• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to development, ensuring that every aspect of the website is flawless.

• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

• Immediate Availability: Bandwidth to join and contribute to our projects immediately, with no personal or professional conflicts until the end of the year.

• Experience with Staffing Agencies: Previous work with staffing agencies is a big plus.

• Digital Content Creation: Experience creating content for X and LinkedIn is a plus.

• Business Development/Lead Generation Experience: Prior experience in a business development or lead generation environment is ideal.
