Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications Designer will be accountable for leading the development of high quality corporate, scientific, and medical content that accurately and consistently communicates the company's strategies into effective presentations for external and internal audiences.  Primarily focused on refining and improving the aesthetic of presentations intended for external distribution. The person who fills this role must possess a curious and strategic mindset in combination with a passion for the art of storytelling to translate complex science into effective communications of various formats to inform multiple audiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with corporate development firm and other potential scientific graphic vendors to upgrade and create our powerpoint needs
  • Work across organization supporting detailed powerpoint needs and execution of powerpoint decks
  • Presentation design and production to brand guidelines
  • Day-to-day design and artworking of slides
  • Pitch deck design development
  • Original slide template design and creation
  • Visual storytelling to create engaging presentations and rework content to deliver the best outcome
  • Create clear data visualizations and infographics
  • Branding (could be an event or campaign)
  • Conceptual ideation, everything from campaigns to theming an event
  • Illustration
  • Animation and video editing
  • Front end digital design
  • Social asset creation (static and motion)
  • Alongside all the usual design jobs of image re-touching, stock image searches, icon drawing, and internal work
  • Other projects as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years' progressive graphic and presentation design experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Versatile design aesthetic to inspire and reach a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to take concepts from initial brief through to final print-ready artwork
  • Ability to prioritize and work within tight time frames
  • Artistic eye, original thinking, and creative ideas
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a must)
  • Ability to multi-task/ prioritize and time management of daily activities.
  • Intermediate to advanced software skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates high level of accuracy and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility within a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent ability to work in a goal and team-oriented setting.
  • Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
