 SUMMARY: The Engineer under limited supervision from the Director of Engineering and Plant Engineer is responsible for fulfilling and achieving the objectives and goals of the engineering position.DUTIES
  1. In the absence of the Director of Engineering and Plant Engineer, oversee Maintenance Departments of both Fresno and Kingsburg facilities and coordinate activities with the needs of Management, Production, Laboratory, Safety and Security.
  2. Perform Project Engineering duties.
  3. Perform Project Management duties.
  4. Evaluate facility problems, develop solutions and provide recommendations for performance improvement of facilities and equipment.
  5. Write detailed specifications, prepare bid proposals, obtain bids and analyze bids for projects in conjunction with the Purchasing Department.
  6. Write internal requisitions for tools, equipment and repairs needed for facility repair and maintenance in accordance with company purchasing procedures.
  7. Design, reverse engineer and create sketches or Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of replacement parts, equipment and facility layout.
  8. Stay current and comply with Regulatory mandates that affect the property, facility and operations.
  9. Under guidance of the Director of Engineering and/or Plant Engineer, prepare regulatory reports for the property, facility, and operations.
  10. Maintain project files - history and specifications of facility, equipment and repairs.
  11. Inventory and assist in sales of the surplus assets of the facility. Develop and maintain sales tools, such as website for surplus assets.
  12. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering, Plant Engineer, and/or President.
OBJECTIVES
  1. Gather process and component information to prepare designs to reduce costs for operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  2. Timely response to facility, equipment and repair needs of Management, Production, Laboratory, Safety and Security.
  3. Become proficient in CAD and SolidWorks.
  4. Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) for plant processes.
  1. Once a PFD is developed for a process, label the lines of the process.
  2. Once a process PFD is developed and labeled, research ways to automate the process.
  3. Work with maintenance to develop equipment lists for each process.
  4. Achieve assigned goals.
