Summary:

Rumpl is looking for a dynamic and energetic Product Design & Development Coordinator to support our Product team. This role is vital for bringing innovative products to market. You will collaborate with various teams, conduct market research, and manage product workflow tools and records. This position will help you develop project management skills, creative thinking, and a deep understanding of our business processes. Additionally, you will contribute to the conceptualizing, sketching, and execution of product designs that align with the Rumpl brand.


Essential Responsibilities:

Product Development:

You will build and maintain product tech packs, including drawings, specifications, sizing, requirements, and artwork. You will be the main contact for vendor and partner communication and manage product costing to guide design decisions and pricing. You will also create and manage project plans and timelines for new product development (NPD) projects, and coordinate factory travel and relations.

Tracking & Reporting:

You will update the status of development projects for weekly reports and manage seasonal and energy timelines. This includes maintaining all development trackers (NPD & Color), executing compliance testing, and tracking monthly progress. You will also provide context and answer questions from the P&M teams on all projects.

Records & Template Maintenance:

You will maintain and accurately communicate all product records. You will ensure the accuracy of information across all internal and external PD team members and continuously improve product records.

Product Design:

You will execute the product design process as assigned, supporting internal and external designers to meet the seasonal design brief and go-to-market (GTM) timelines. You will ensure all files and assets are in the correct formats and production-ready, contributing to the overall design and brand language across all products.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Product Management, Business Administration, Product Design/development).
  • Exposure to the outdoor and consumer goods industry is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and learn quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High-level competency in Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop and other design software are a plus.
  • General experience & aptitude for Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of textile construction, fabric types, and color management systems (Pantone) is advantageous.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel required, approximately 10%.
