As an Event Manager, you will engage with the Milwaukee and Beloit communities to develop, plan, and execute impactful events in collaboration with our community partners, donors, vendors, and audiences. Success in this role hinges on building and nurturing strong internal and external relationships.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Event Manager will work closely with all departments within the Acts Housing organization to ensure seamless event execution.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with organizational leadership to prioritize events and set event-specific goals
  • Develop event concepts in partnership with department colleagues and external partners
  • Plan and execute  Acts-branded events including Donors, Families, Teams, Volunteers, Community Partners, and Business Partners
  • Guide all aspects of participation and project management for all events, internal and external, including documentation, invites, ticketing, RSVP, payments, surveys, and more
  •  Manage event budgets efficiently and effectively
  • Use digital project management tools to create transparency in planning and execution
  • Partner and delegate with appropriate internal partners such as finance, marketing, fundraising and others
  • Recruit and manage event volunteers leveraging corporate partnerships/groups
  • Produce reports to assist in understanding event success while using results to  make recommendations to improve future events
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or Communications is desired. 
  • 5 years’ experience in event coordination in a non-profit space
  • Must be able to travel for events and  work evenings and weekends, as required
  • Database/CRM experience, Salesforce is our platform
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud, Canva, monday.com, and Google business suite, highly desired
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment,  with strong organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage a large variety of different tasks
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a bonus
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand, particularly for sustained periods, to manage events
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, or more with assistance
