Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is currently seeking a hard-working and dedicated Lawn Technician with a great attitude and high-level of customer service. Technicians provide service to residential or commercial customers by making timely lawn and tree applications, diagnosing and correcting customer problems through service calls and other communications, and selling/up-selling services to new and existing customers, resulting in growth of our customer base. Technicians also provide customers with product and service information and resolve technical issues. Completing production reports, new sales forms, customer invoice forms, daily vehicle inspection reports are just some of the daily responsibilities required of our technicians.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Measuring and mixing lawn care products.
  • Applying fertilizers, weed control, and insect control products.
  • Operating lawn care equipment.
  • Completing invoices and maintaining organized application records.
  • Providing lawn analysis, including identifying weeds and grass varieties.
  • Being responsive to customers and possessing an eagerness to learn.
Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and at least 3+ years of clean driving.
  • Must be able to drive trucks up to 1 ton (CDL not required).
  • Pesticide license is a plus but not required.
  • Must have customer service/sales skills.
  • Ability to lift 50-100 pounds.
  • Availably to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Basic small equipment, mechanical, and maintenance knowledge is helpful.
  • Will train the right candidate who is a good fit and does not have the skills.
