Job Summary

The Human Resource Representative performs administrative tasks and duties to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resource department and serves as the on-site representative for HR.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely updates to HRIS for employee status changes, revisions/updates and corrections
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing by ensuring time cards are complete and correct, verify changes, complete manual entries, all to prepare payroll for CHRO review/approval
  • Complete onboarding process for new employees to include obtaining proper documentation, entry in HRIS, and conducting Orientation (in-person or virtually)
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly benefit enrollment meetings for newly eligible employees and oversee completion of enrollment process in HRIS
  • Process terminations internally following established procedures
  • Manage ID badge assignments/building access system, and parking access
  • Responsible for assisting employees with FMLA/LOA in accordance with applicable law and Company policy, by providing required information to employees and obtaining proper documentation within required time frames, accurately tracking the leave, and keep CHRO abreast of all leaves
  • Assist employees with general questions and inquiries and escalate HR related issues and concerns to the CHRO
  • Assist management with disciplinary actions and terminations, and keeps CHRO abreast of these actions
  • Represent the Company in a positive manner through professional conduct, attitude, and appearance
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Follow Company Confidentiality and Security policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledgeable in human resources best practices, procedures and principles
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, and attention to detail
  • Confidence and presence to effectively handle interpersonal relationships and manage sensitive and confidential HR situations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with or ability to quickly learn HRIS


Education/Experience

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school in related field; or SHRM Certification preferred
  • At least three years related experience required
