Job Summary:
We are an SQF-certified food manufacturing facility looking for a Maintenance Sourcing/Inventory Specialist to join our growing team In this role you will support Maintenance department in the form of maintaining parts inventory, managing vendors and maintaining records in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). You will be a part of the maintenance team’s goal of optimizing, and installing existing and new equipment while complying with all safety rules, GMPs, and Food Safety or Quality.
What you will be doing:
- Read and interpret technical specifications of parts and machine manuals.
- Prepare PO’s and obtain price quotes from multiple suppliers, select the most competitive based on price, quality and availability.
- Build and maintenance relationships with internal and external contacts, other team members, vendors and vendor service staff.
- Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery dates, product quantities, inventory and WO status updates.
- Maintain accurate records in CMMS; part descriptions, locations, min/max, cost, vendors, etc.
- Process PO receipts and invoices while updating the ERP and Maintenance tracker.
- Receive all shipments; updating ERP and Tracker; staging to be added to stock/inventory/WO shelf.
- Perform regular inventory audits and report findings (KPI).
- Engage in process improvements & 5S manufacturing concepts.
- Assist in onboarding new team members by providing training for CMMS and other systems.
- Support Coordinator/Planner duties when needed.
- Communicate using Email, Excel, Word and effectively use ERP System (Encompass).
- Other duties may be assigned.
What qualifications do you need:
- You have a High School Diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Proactive “Self-starter” capable of working independently and be self-directed.
- Experience using CMMS, Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software.
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (food processing experience desirable)
- Detail oriented, good communication skills
- You possess a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
- Willingness to be on call and/or work off shifts and/or weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Possess excellent hand/eye coordination.
- You can lift to 50 lbs. occasionally above shoulder height.
- You can work in an environment with light dust in the air, flashing lights, sirens, horns, and powered moving equipment operating in proximity.
